They use AdSense.

They don't have a great amount of control over there ads, and even then its understood that the content of websites linked to by ads don't necessarily represent the views of the advertising site.

QUite true mate, however, it's not AdSense per-se' . . but it is by Google Ads . . . With AdSense, you actually sign up to use them, and they then only target ads that are particular to your sites style, and you can ad filters to have certain ads restricted.

When using Public servers and services such as mybb3 etc, you're at their whim as to what they run on your site.

Which is why we chose Wordpress for the main site.

They do not have ads, yet their software and servers are FREE to use. They do have some limits in the type of code youy can use, and you can't really place major ads on your sites. So for a free service, you can't go past WP.

If anyone is interested, we'll be helping gamers set up various Xbox 360 game related sites in the future, so that they can share some ads with us and get a little $ return.

Nothing against modding consoles , more speciffically the Original xbox. I was more concearned about the "copying" of games ... which is illegal.

That's why I imported one of those faceplate/ removable sticker combos from the US (Barnes & Noble website). Mine's Assassin's Creed but you could get Gears of War and some others. Warranty not voided! Not as fancy as some case mods though...
